OWNERSHIP & POLITICAL EXPOSURE
Credosint connects beneficial ownership research and politically exposed person screening with dated company evidence. Understand disclosed control, identify potential political exposure and review changes through optional daily monitoring.
Credosint · Updated
Credosint combines public-source research with targeted sanctions and PEP screening. Each report identifies the subjects checked, the check date, possible matches and areas requiring further review. If screening has not been performed, this is clearly stated. Unchecked subjects are not treated as cleared.
An ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) is a natural person who ultimately owns or controls an entity. Establishing that relationship can require tracing several corporate layers. A politically exposed person (PEP) holds, or has held, a prominent public function. Relevant relationships and historical roles also need context.
Ownership and political exposure answer different questions. A PEP classification does not establish wrongdoing. An incomplete ownership chain does not establish that a company has no beneficial owners. Credosint keeps evidence gaps and potential matches visible for professional review.

PEP screening, supported by available identity attributes and public-role evidence. Possible matches require corroboration.
Disclosed changes in ownership, control or public roles, where comparable evidence exists. Publication dates and observation dates remain distinct.
The assessment identifies what is known and what remains unresolved. Public registers differ across jurisdictions, and a report cannot promise access to every beneficial ownership record or undisclosed arrangement.
After a report is completed, you can enable monitoring for that report in your workspace. Eligibility requires a verified company registration identifier and jurisdiction. Subsequent checks compare saved evidence and surface change alerts in the workspace; they do not silently rewrite the original PDF.
The first check is scheduled approximately 24 hours after opt-in. Monitoring currently shares a platform-wide limit of 20 new runs per UTC day, with report generation taking priority. Checks may be deferred when capacity is reached. This is scheduled research, not real-time surveillance or a guaranteed daily alert.
You can opt out at any time. Monitoring stops when the report is deleted or its retention period ends, normally up to 30 days. A new finding still requires contextual review.
Provide the exact legal name, jurisdiction and registration number. Where authorised, supply an ownership chart, shareholder register or incorporation document. These help distinguish similar names and support the analysis of direct and indirect control.
Interpret findings against the relevant jurisdiction and transaction. Beneficial ownership definitions and thresholds vary; no single percentage resolves every control relationship. Where evidence is limited, seek company confirmation or specialist advice.
