SCREENING & MATCH REVIEW

Screen with context. Review with confidence.

Credosint integrates sanctions and PEP screening into company due diligence, connecting potential sanctions and PEP matches with entity identifiers, source context and a clear review status.

Credosint · Updated

Evidence-led database checks

Credosint combines public-source research with targeted sanctions and PEP screening. Each report identifies the subjects checked, the check date, possible matches and areas requiring further review. If screening has not been performed, this is clearly stated. Unchecked subjects are not treated as cleared.

What sanctions screening adds to due diligence

Sanctions screening checks a company and identified relevant parties against available sanctions data. It complements financial and operational research by highlighting potential restrictions or associations that warrant further investigation.

A similar name is an initial lead. It is not enough to conclude that your counterparty is designated. Legal entity names, aliases, country and registration details help establish identity. For individuals, available birth dates and other identifiers can help distinguish unrelated people.

How Credosint presents screening results

01

Identify

Use available company and related-party details to frame the screening request and reduce ambiguity.

02

Corroborate

Show potential matches with relevant identifiers, topics and source context from screening records. Keep uncertain matches visible.

03

Review

Distinguish candidate findings and review status. A reviewer must assess identity, relevance and applicable restrictions.

New Credosint reports include screening evidence and its limitations. A provider failure, stale data or incomplete coverage must not be presented as a clean result. Likewise, no matches within the sources checked is not a guarantee that a counterparty is free of sanctions exposure.

Coverage and freshness matter

Sanctions screening draws on selected UN, US, EU, UK, UAE and Indian sanctions sources, alongside PEP datasets. Each report records the coverage and check date. Availability depends on the underlying sources at the time of screening.

Research dates, provider export dates and official publication dates describe different things. A recent provider export does not prove that every underlying official list is complete or newly updated. Consult the report's coverage and evidence notes when interpreting results.

Ownership-related exposure needs a separate review

A company may require closer examination because of its owners or controllers even when its own name does not appear in a list. Credosint surfaces available ownership evidence and potential exposure indicators for review. Missing ownership layers remain an explicit limitation.

Ownership and control rules vary across sanctions regimes. Screening output does not automatically determine legal applicability, aggregate ownership correctly in every structure or provide clearance to transact. Escalate relevant findings to your compliance or legal adviser.

Follow changes after the initial report

Eligible completed reports can be enrolled in opt-in daily monitoring. Later checks may surface changed screening evidence in your workspace, subject to scheduling, capacity and retention limits. Read how ownership and PEP monitoring works before enabling it.

Keep the original report as a dated record of the research. Review current evidence before a material transaction rather than relying indefinitely on an earlier screening result.
